Does acupuncture actually work, or is it placebo?
It's one of the most researched therapies in complementary medicine, recognized by the WHO and NIH for pain, nausea, and more. In this practice you get a doctoral-level (DAOM), FABORM-board-certified acupuncturist with nearly 20 years of experience — not a weekend-certificate provider.
Does it hurt? I'm scared of needles.
The needles are about the width of a hair — most patients feel only a light pressure or warmth, and many fall asleep on the table. If needle fear is the thing stopping you, tell us; we go slow and you stay in control the whole time.
Do you take my insurance? How much is it?
We are out-of-network with most insurers. We provide a superbill at the end of each visit that you can submit for reimbursement, and HSA & FSA cards are accepted. Pricing is transparent — you'll know the cost before you book.
How many sessions before I see a difference?
Many patients feel something after the first visit. For lasting change we usually plan a short course — often 4–6 visits — and reassess together. No endless open-ended packages.
Is it safe, and will it interfere with my other care?
Yes. With a licensed acupuncturist it's very low-risk, and we coordinate with your physician, OB, or fertility clinic so it complements your medical care rather than competing with it.
What makes Dr. Lashai different from other acupuncturists?

About five minutes. Our studio sits at 4443 Sunset Drive, just down the hill from Los Feliz Village, with easy street parking. Many of our fertility patients come from Los Feliz, Los Feliz Hills, and Franklin Hills.
Do you support IVF and IUI cycles for Los Feliz patients?
