Cosmetic Acupuncture in Los Angeles

Cosmetic acupuncture in Los Angeles at Jeiran Lashai Acupuncture uses very thin sterile needles to build collagen and firm the muscles that shape your face. Dr. Jeiran Lashai, DAOM, has practiced in Silver Lake since 2005.

Dr. Lashai treats you herself, start to finish. Appointments are spaced so you may never see another patient.

What it does

How cosmetic acupuncture works.

Each needle creates a microscopic injury that the body repairs by producing collagen and elastin. Circulation to the treated area rises at the same time, which is what produces the flush most patients notice on the way out.

Needling along the jaw and cheek also releases facial muscles that have shortened over years of expression. That is where lift on sagging jowls and a softer double chin come from.

Who books it

Who books it.

Patients come to us for:

Fine lines around the eyes and mouth.
Jowls and loss of jaw definition.
A double chin that persists at a stable weight.
Dull or uneven skin tone.
Puffiness under the eyes.
Jaw tension and clenching.
Maintenance in the years before injectables.
A first step after ruling out Botox.
What to expect

What a session looks like.

Your first visit runs 90 minutes. Dr. Lashai takes a full intake, examines your skin and facial structure, then treats you the same day.

Needles stay in place for 15 to 30 minutes while you rest. Most people begin with a weekly course and then space visits out for maintenance.

The upgrade path

When needles alone reach their limit.

Needling builds collagen and tones muscle gradually. If your main concern is skin laxity along the jaw and neck, that can take more sessions than you want to spend.

triLift adds dynamic muscle stimulation and radio frequency to the same visit, reaching deeper muscle and tightening faster. Dr. Lashai chose it over Morpheus8 for comfort and safety, and she runs it alongside cosmetic acupuncture in a combined protocol.

She will tell you at your first visit which of the two fits your face. Read about triLift.

Cosmetic acupuncture

Fine needles increase blood flow to the face, with no downtime at all. That makes it a good fit before a special event, when you want a boost in circulation before you head out for the night.

Microneedling

For patients who are wary of the heat in RF treatments, for whatever reason, and that is a respected choice. Microneedling still stimulates collagen production. It builds less elastin, because no heat is introduced, so the result is smaller than with RF microneedling.

RF microneedling

Combines heat and needles to create micro-injuries in the skin that build collagen and elastin. Dr. Lashai calls it the gold standard for building collagen across the industry, and the best long-term way to rewind the clock and set a strong foundation for your skin, whether or not you go on to plastic surgery, fillers, or neurotoxins.

Dr. Lashai is knowledgeable, practical and kind. The face lift was a perfect fit for me: a simple red light wand she passes over your face, and my neck too. It makes your skin glow, does not hurt, and there is really no down time. I got a package and am part way through it, already getting compliments!

I had a great experience with Dr. Lashai. I have seen her in the past for acupuncture, but recently had the non-surgical facelift and it was amazing. Immediate results. My eyebrows are back up above my eyes, and my skin tone and texture is so, so good. Dr. Lashai is caring and attentive. I always leave her office feeling better, and now looking better too.

The non-surgical facelift is amazing. I saw results after the first treatment. It is perfect for anyone who wants to look better in a more natural way. Jeiran is wonderful and talks you through the treatment and ways you can improve your skin from the inside out as well. I highly recommend!

The evidence

What the research supports.

Published trials on facial acupuncture are small. A 2024 MRI study measured masseter muscle change after facial acupuncture stimulation, and a 2025 review found facial and body acupuncture reduced frown lines.

The research is promising, though still limited. Any practitioner who promises a specific result is overstating what the evidence supports. See the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health on acupuncture.
